The Books of Terry Pratchett
So apparently it’s been 50 years since Terry Pratchett first published a book?!?
Wow.
He’s one of my all-time favourite authors – I’ve read all his books, and own most of them on my shelves.
I went to a talk in Wellington once, and saw him from afar as he walked along a mezzanine floor in his distinctive hat and black suit, but that was as close to him as I ever got in real life.
I’ve never found books that match his in terms of quirkiness, insight into the human condition, and vivid imagination.
He was a one of a kind.
